ENFORCER - "Into the Night"
(Heavy Artillery)
Official Enforcer Myspace

If you are anything like me, you are a happy as a faggot with a bag full of dicks about the recent uprising of bands that play the old styles of heavy metal ,inspired by the NWOBHM and 80's thrash. If you haven't heard the Heavy Metal Killers (Earache) compilation, then you probably missed out on a sampling of the latest band to melt the flesh from my face, Enforcer. The four man outfit from Sweden are young, hungry, and hell bent on bringing you down into the fiery pits of hell to party with ‘Ol Beelzebub before taking you up to the heavens with some of the most incomparable metal songs to make it to print in a good, long while. "Into the Night" is nine tracks of unabashed rocking from start to finish. From the opening cut, "Black Angel", you are immediately sucked into a vortex of denim, leather and chains from whence you won't soon return. The hits just keep on coming after that, and once it's over, you'll be balled up in the fetal position in a pool of your own drool and urine, begging for more. Adam Zaars is a candidate for one of the best guitarists to hit the scene in the past few years. This dude is absolutely amazing, delivering speed and power with every flick of the pick, and boasting some seriously mondo solo skills. Of course, a great guitarist would be nothing without a top notch rhythm section , which is provided by the talents of Jonas Wikstrand (Drums) and Joseph Tholl (Bass). Round it all out with the Rob Halford meets King Diamond vocal stylings of the other half of the brothers Wikstrand, Olof, and you got yourself something sweeter than Yoo-Hoo. I wouldn't be raving about this so much if I didn't think that it was something that belongs in the collection of every metal fan on earth.
